This is the first from my fitness orientated portrait shoot I did on the weekend. I’ve just started to take portraits more seriously and I am very happy with the results.
It may not look like it, but these were taken in my friends living room. I had a black backdrop clamped and held up by two light stands behind the subject. A Speedlite behind the subject for back lighting and another one, above left fired through a softbox.
The main challenge I had when shooting these was space. Focusing wasn’t an issue with the 6D and it’s center focus point, but distance with my 100L was. I had to stand a very far distance back and although there wouldn’t be a great difference with an 85mm, it would definitely be more suitable for indoor shoots like this.
Thanks to those who have taken the time to read my post, I will be uploaded the second part to this set tomorrow.
