Here is my Sony kit which is unexpectedly growing. I currently only have the two native lenses and the Godox Flash but for what I shoot, it covers what I need for now. The kit consists of:
- Sony Alpha A7III
- Sony 85mm f/1.8
- Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD
- Godox AD200
I also use the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS macro lens for product photography and the Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS for landscapes. I was considering replacing these with native Sony lenses but their equivalents don’t really impress me. The Sony 90mm Macro looks like a decent lens (despite the physical aperture ring) but the lack of a tripod collar is something I dislike about it.
Rumors suggest that a Sony 35mm f/1.8 or f/2 will be released next year and I will definitely be getting that. If it is similar to the Sony 85mm f/1.8 then I’m sure it will be extremely popular. This does mean I will have to part with my beloved Canon EF 35mm f/2 IS but I will happily make the trade for a native alternative.
