Living Life Still

Recently I have been getting back into still life photography. I have been lazy to leave the house and also sick so shooting at home was the easiest solution.

In the first episode of my podcast, I mentioned that origami is something I really enjoy but am bad at. I was thinking about this and decided, why settle for being bad at it when I can try to improve?

The featured image at the top of the page was an idea I had for a long time but hadn’t attempted to create. The hardest part was making the butterflies and propping them up which didn’t take me that long.

I have to say I’m happy with the final result and there’s only one thing I would change. If I was to redo the shot, I’d use my AD200 to get more consistent lighting between shots (mainly to make editing easier).

The below image is of the Pokémon Trainer Amiibo which I recently bought. This below image was taken with my AD200 shot through the diffuser part of my 5 in 1 reflector.

The object in the background providing the bokeh would be my PC. I’ve already managed to get this Amiibo at level 50 in Super Smash Bros Ultimate which is the max level. I think I was only able to beat it a few times and now it’s way too good for me.

For those who don’t know, the Amiibo’s learn how you play and constantly find ways to improve. This pretty much means unless you can constantly change your play style, they will easily beat you.

If anyone has a Switch and would like to play, be sure to let me know 😀
