Wow it’s been a long time since my last post.
I’ve had so much happening. First I got legally married here in Australia, then I injured myself exercising and got a flu. After that I was off to Bali for my actual wedding and once I was back, I got sick again.
I’m nearly fully recovered now so finally ready to resume everything again. Below are some images I’ve taken over the past month, mainly with the Fuji X-S10 and either 23mm f/1.4 or 56mm f/1.4.
Below is actually an interesting comparison I decided to do. One image was with the X-S10 and 23mm f/1.4, the other with the R6 and 35mm f/1.8. I tried to edit them as closely as possible but can you tell which is which?
It can be challenging editing images from two different brands due to the differences in colors.
I actually found I preferred the Fuji colors SOOC so what I done was made a preset that utilizes the HSL tab in Lightroom and makes the colors of my Canon images much more like the Fuji ones. This has made color grading MUCH easier for me and really streamlined my process.
I plan to take some test images on both cameras which will be side by side then try my best to really refine the preset furthermore.
The image above was shot with the R6 and RF 50mm f/1.8 and when editing it, I applied this preset then done my usual editing process and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
My Wedding Part 1
Here are some images I took on the day for my marriage signing ceremony. It was a very small family only event so we didn’t feel the need to hire someone. I simply took some of these using the X-S10/R6 then during the ceremony itself, I setup the R6 on a tripod and had the Fuji to the left recording video.
Thanks for reading and it hopefully won’t be long until my next post. I’m currently editing all my images from Bali which might take some times but I hope to shoot more in the mean time.
