It’s been a busy few months hence my absence but thought I’d check in and post some images I’ve taken since my last post.
I won’t beat around the bush and I’ll just get right into it. Here are some images from Vietnam Veterans Day which was now a few months ago, I’m very behind on my editing.
I didn’t go to Martin Place indenting to watch this ceremony but while I was there, I thought I’d put my 85mm to go use and capture some images of it on the a7C II. From a photography standpoint, this combo made it very easy to shoot from a distance and I had no issues locking onto the subjects or tracking them.
Below are some images from The Calyx which was an event at the Sydney Botanical Gardens. Each display was done to represent the flowers/plants of different nations such as China, New Zealand, France, USA and more.
I only took the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 and a7C II along with me for this outing and it was a bit challenging for some images due to the given space but I managed to get shots I was happy with.
Although not common, we also had Cherry Blossoms in Spring here this Sydney.
Majority of them are at the Auburn Botanical Gardens which get VERY packed due to the event although we surprisingly found these in a small park much closer to the city. Below are the flowers and my wife posing with them.
These were also taken on the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DN Art with the a7C II so you’ll see the pattern as I was using that combo quite a bit for these 3 sets of images.
Honestly, I’ve barely used my camera since then. It’s just one of those periods that I don’t have as much interest and intent to shoot. Being that photography is a creative art, you need to be in a creative mood to shoot which I’m often not. There are some photos I really need to take but have zero ideas or inspiration for them so they’ve just had to wait.
Until then, enjoy these images and see you sometime soon.
