I keep going to publish this post but then I end up taking some more photos so delay it a bit, then rinse and repeat but here we are.
I’m the type of person that doesn’t buy clothes too often, mainly just when needed. I don’t care about fashion or trends, I just buy what I like. The bad part of this is my clothes tend to get old then I end up buying a lot of them in a short period which is costly.
With how much I workout these days I am more intent on getting good shoes that will last me a long time and will prevent injuries etc. so I got some new pairs for everyday walking and also my HIIT and running.
Below are a few of many pairs of new Nike sneakers I ordered on one of those recent shopping sprees.

Originally I was going to use my new Sony FE 50mm f/2.5 G but there’s something about the look of the Sigma 85mm that I couldn’t resist for the first row of photos. For the indoor ones I did end up using the 50mm (out of guilt) which still turned out excellent.
Below is another photo I used the 50mm.

The above is a matcha latte from Jan Cafe here in Sydney. My wife is the one who drank it and enjoyed it, I was happy for her to drink it so I could get a great photo out of it. I find 50mm works quite well for these kinds of food photos in cafes.
If I have to I can use my 35mm as well but I find 50mm to be the perfect balance of wideness and working distance. On a separate day, I went for a morning walk with the a7CII and my FE 16-35mm f/4 G PZ which resulted in the images you see below.

This was around 8am so the lighting wasn’t exactly great but I did like the way it lit up the buildings in the middle photo in the bottom 3 images. I may try one of these spots again one day but with my tripod and closer to sunset so I can experiment a bit with exposures/lighting.
Last up is a 3 more images taken with my Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DN Art. The first one is a glass cup my wife got on her travels which changes color depending on the temp of the liquid and the other two are a Hello Kitty mug from Starbucks as part of a recent promotion.

That’s it for now, until the next time!
