My Anniversary Dinner and Dessert

Over the last few weeks we celebrated 3 years of marriage (or as I say 3 years since I threw my life away when I’m joking with my wife). Although we didn’t do it all 3 years, we started a tradition of sorts of going to a local restaurant for dinner.

Porteno actually received some awards for their steak and it’s no lie, the food is amazing. Usually for more fancy restaurants I feel weird carrying my camera in with me but I was in the mood to shoot on that day so made an exception. You can see all the images below.

All the images were with my a7C II and 35GM which is probably my most used combo. I’ve also been experimenting with Lightroom’s DeNoise feature now that they improved it (no more creating a new file and can be applied to an existing DNG) which has very promising results. A lot of the food photos were shot at quite high ISO’s, the steak one for example was ISO 8000 but the end result was quite clean.

Also prior to this dinner, there was quite an interesting sky. Below is what i managed to capture which appeared to be a broken rainbow which I hadn’t seen before.

Broken Rainbow

Not sure what I plan to shoot next but as long as the weather stays a bit better and we don’t get any more cycles I’ll hopefully be shooting more again soon.
