It has been a while since I last participated in a Macro Monday challenge on Flickr but since I felt I could do this week’s theme of “Eyewear”, I decided to give it a try. Originally I wanted to use my own sunglasses for the challenge but since they have black rims, it didn’t work as well with what I wanted as much as my wife’s transparent framed glasses.

For the actual technical aspects of the image, this was taken with my Sony Alpha a7C II and the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DN Macro Art. I had my fairy lights in the background creating the bokeh and a reflector to the camera right to make the most of the natural window light to camera left.

When it comes to my lack of uploads recently, I started a new job 3 weeks ago so have been really tired and not had the time/mood to shoot but thankfully things are stabilizing again so I hope to be shooting a bit more again soon.
