My wife was in the need for a new Apple Watch so thanks to some good sales, we managed to get her the series 11 watch in 42mm. I have a series 7 which is really showing its age now so this new watch looks so new and premium compared to mine which is far from it’s pristine look it had when I first got it.

From a photography standpoint, the image at the top of the page was with the Viltrox 50mm f/2 Air which is a lens I just got for an extremely low price. I was actually quite surprised at how good the lens is for how cheap it is.

The 50GM was also at a record low price but I know my love is for 35/85mm so it wouldn’t get enough use to justify the cost (especially compared to the Viltrox) so that’s why I calmly and wisely passed on that lens.

The Viltrox 50mm f/2 is something I’ll definitely be reviewing once I have a large enough amount of photos but in terms of its place in my bag, it will be more of a backup lens. The current plan is to only carry/use this lens when I specifically need the focal length or when I’m tired but want to bring something light. Otherwise, the 35GM is my go to lens for general use and the 85 Art is my go to when I’m in the mood for bokeh.
