One thing myself and many PC enthusiasts do is change parts or do partial rebuilds every few years or so, after all it’s one of the major benefits on a PC that you can upgrade individual parts rather than the whole thing like with a Mac.
One of the biggest issues with my old case (NZXT H510) was that the front panel was solid and completely closed off, only the front had a very small mesh area for intake which does effect temps to a degree. During winter it isn’t as much of an issue but during summer, I find it hard to play games without my PC nearly overheating.
In comes my new case, the Corsair FRAME 4000D. This is one beautiful case that’s very slightly larger than my old case but has excellent airflow thanks to a giant mesh front panel. Prior to swapping cases, my idle temps would be roughly 45c for my CPU and 35c for my GPU with 0db fans disabled. Now with this case I get the following:
NZXT H510
- Average idle CPU temp: 42c
- Average idle GPU temp: 35c (without 0db fans)
- Average load CPU temp: 60c
- Average load GPU temp: 65c
Corsair FRAME 4000D
- Average idle CPU temp: 35c
- Average idle GPU temp: 35c (WITH 0db fans)
- Average load CPU temp: 55c (usually around 50c, max I seen was 55c)
- Average load GPU temp: 55c
So as you can probably I’m guess, I’m VERY happy with the improved airflow. The Corsair Link system works really well too and helped with cabling to make it easier.
Above of course are images of my new build with all 3 images taken with the Sony Alpha a7V, the top image being with the 35GM and bottom two with the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 Art (along with the image at the top of the page).
Local Dining
These photos are really old now (maybe a few months) so I can finally get around to posting them. This restaurant is in the Sydney CBD sort of which is easy to get to so we started eating here quite a bit more and really enjoy the food.
Honestly at one stage the food wasn’t great but it seems they revamped their menu a few years ago (maybe a management change) and the food is excellent now. Below are some images I took at dinner there.
All of these images were taken with the Sony 35GM which I used to have trouble photographing food with as I preferred a bit longer but recently I’ve got more used to it.
The main issue I have with photographing food is depth of field, I usually tend to not stop down enough but I feel I did give enough focus to these images so I’m happy with how they turned out.
That brings this post to an end, I hope you’ve enjoyed it!
