I’m very pleased to say my Sony FE 35mm f/1.8 has finally arrived 🎉
I have had very limited use with the lens so far but from my limited use, I’m very impressed. It’s a tiny bit bigger than my Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 which is a crop lens! I tried taking a few images of my girlfriend using Eye AF and not only was the AF fast and quiet, but the lens was tack sharp wide open.

Back when I had the Canon EF 35mm f/2 IS I would carry it everywhere with me due to the size. Considering this lens is even smaller and lighter, I’ll definitely start doing the same!
Sometimes if I feel lazy to carry the larger body, I take my M5 out with me as its much lighter and more comfortable to carry. Considering the weight advantage of this new lens, I don’t see myself carrying it as much.
