Adventure Awaits [5/52]

Here is the 5th entry for my 2023 52 Week Project.

In 2020 we had booked a trip to Japan for my birthday in April. Obviously Covid happened so we never actually got to go.

Each year since we’ve tried to book but travel restrictions stopped us until recently. As I also got married last year, this trip is now pretty much our honeymoon. We aren’t going any time soon, but we still wanted to make the most of exchange rates and got ourselves some Yen which you can see in the image.

I had taken a photo of Japanese currency back in 2019 so I wanted this one to be different. This image was taken with my Sony Alpha A7IV and Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DN Art as I wanted more of a compressed look. Although this image isn’t super detailed, it does tell a story which is what I wanted to achieve for this series.

That brings this post to and end and if you’d like to be notified of future updates, please subscribe using the form below.

Nice pic! Didn’t know that Australia’s passport is blue. 😅 Now SGD1 is like 100 yen. I remember it was lower than 60 yen in about 2006. Felt so poor back then (when calculating my salary in yen), but now feel much richer. 😂

Thanks Joey! Yes it’s blue, I don’t think I know the color of most other passports 😅 lucky that the SGD has got stronger so when you do travel back you can feel rich again!
