Glenorchy-Wharf

Glenorchy Wharf [26/52]

For this post and future ones on here, I will be trying to focus more on the technical and photography aspects of everything.

This image was taken at Glenorchy Wharf in New Zealand on my recent trip there. The gear used for this was the Sony Alpha a7IV and Sony FE PZ 16-35mm f/4 G with the following settings:

  • 22mm
  • f/8
  • 6 seconds
  • ISO 100

To obtain the longer shutter speed during the day I used a Haida 6 Stop ND filter along with the Nisi CPL which usually works out to be around 1 stop. With this type of image there isn’t a large amount of colors, due to this I felt black and white suited this type of image best.

Usually for this location you can see mountains in the background but due to the heavy fog, I got myself something quite unique. I have more images from here which will be covered in my normal blogpost when my Queenstown images are done.
