Rainbows, LinkedIn and How Is It Already August!

This post has been sitting in my draft pile for over a month now. Each time I go to post it, I have something else to add but then forget but it’s finally here.

In this post I have a mix of some new/unposted images and a revision of other ones. It should be pretty easy to guess the revision which is the image you see at the start of the gallery below, a sunset long exposure of Shanghai from North Bund. I had so many similar images of the Bund but this one was a long exposure much closer to sunset which looked different to the others so I decided to give it an edit.

I have been trying to organise my files and as I looked through these Shanghai images, I decided to give it an edit as I liked what I seen from the RAW image.

My last LinkedIn photo was 2021 so I was long overdue for an updated picture. I also have multiple strobes now so there was no better time to give them a proper try and do an actual portrait on my a7V so below is the result of this.

The setup was my pocket flash behind me, then my AD200 Pro II as a key light on camera right and the AD200 on camera left as fill. I probably took 20+ images but could never get my pose to be just right. Most people will highlight that I’m not smiling but I personally hate staged/fake smiles, plus I was trying to concentrate on my composition so ended up looking more serious.

The remainder of images are just random shots from around Sydney, a restaurant we visited months ago and some flowers I got my wife on our wedding anniversary.

This is it for the photos in this post as I haven’t been using my camera as much in recent months. Hopefully that can change but with winter being almost over, I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Take care until the next post!
