Been Having A Break
So recently with uni and work I’ve been a bit strapped for time. I know I used to do posts on each photo but I think I’ll keep this format for at least the next few weeks until my exams are done. Below are a bunch of different images from different days and events over the past few weeks. Enjoy!

A New Style of Product Photography
Over the past week I’ve been trying to decide (and still deciding) if I should sell my M5. It’s not that I don’t like it, I just don’t use it enough and the money could go to a drone or new monitor which I really want. I watched this really great tutorial on removing backgrounds in Photoshop and wanted to try this with my product photography. I decided to use a…

Sony FE 35mm f/1.8 First Impressions
It was a long wait but my Sony FE 35mm f/1.8 has finally arrived! I have been really excited to get this lens and I can say it does not disappoint. I wouldn’t call this a comprehensive or technical review, but more of my first impressions of this lens. I’ve previously covered why I love 35mm lenses over at TPE, so if you want more context check it out here.

My Newest Obsession
I’m very pleased to say my Sony FE 35mm f/1.8 has finally arrived 🎉 I have had very limited use with the lens so far but from my limited use, I’m very impressed. It’s a tiny bit bigger than my Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 which is a crop lens! I tried taking a few images of my girlfriend using Eye AF and not only was the AF fast and quiet,…

Out of Isolation
If you can’t tell by the lack of posts over the past month, its been a busy time for me. It was mostly assignments at uni taking up all my time which is not fun. Now that all this has subsided for a while, it’s back to shooting. As I usually do, I’ve bunched a whole lot of different images into one super post for your convenience. Let’s get started…

Godox AD200
This the Godox AD200 and the reason why I will never buy a Speedlite again. I had always been a fan of the Yongnuo flashes and I still think they’re the best value if you do want a speedlite. Originally I bought the Canon 430ex II which was a nice and small flash, but overpriced in my opinion. Upon discovering the Yongnuo branded flashes, I started to invest in them.…

Spaghetti Bokeh
Spaghetti Bolegnese is a nice and easy dish to make which makes it one of my favorites. We make it at least once a fortnight but I’ve never tried to take a photo of it. As I mentioned in my yearly review post, using my 85mm more is one of my goals. I shot this with some fairly lights in the background to get that nice bokeh. I find the…

DJI Osmo Pocket
This is my newest toy, the DJI Osmo Pocket. As soon as I seen this I couldn’t resist and ordered one straight away. Like many, I do own a GoPro but it rarely gets used. I find the video too unstable in my hands and the quality isn’t anything special either. So far I have been really enjoying this small stabilized camera. The quality of its video is really impressive…

Christmas Tree
Each yeah I usually take photos of my Christmas tree to show on my social media. This year, the tree is the exact same except for one thing. It has become quite lopsided. Now as you can see below, it doesn’t look this bad in this image but still isn’t perfect. If it was, then it would be the featured image. Growing up I celebrated on Christmas Eve as my…
